Dan Henderson captured the Strikeforce light heavyweight title just over a month ago. Instead of fans debating who the 40-year-old’s first title defense should come against, his name keeps appearing opposite Fedor Emelianenko’s in a proposed heavyweight super fight.
While keyboard warriors across the globe continue to debate which fighter should hop to what division, Hendo has remained fairly mum on the proposed matchup. That was until Wednesday, when his Clinch Gear clothing company released an interview with the MMA icon.
In addition to Fedor, Henderson also covers the UFC’s purchase of Strikeforce and how he beat Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante for the 205-pound crown.
Emelianenko vs. Henderson is rumored to headline Strikeforce’s yet-to-be announced July fight card. The show could mark the company’s first pay-per-view broadcast.
