Jose Aldo discovered at an early age that the world of soccer – or fútbol, as the rest of the world calls it – would have no use for his skills. Thankfully for the UFC featherweight king, he found a better way to ride his fancy footwork to financial stability and superstardom.
Outside of owning a dominant 18-1 professional record and destroying every victim that’s recently crossed his path, most fans know very little about Aldo. An interesting tidbit the Brazilian recently revealed was his initial love for fútbol. Unfortunately for Aldo, his game didn’t match his passion and he was forced to look elsewhere to earn a living.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Aldo puts his 145-pound crown on the line against Mark Hominick on April 30th at UFC 129.
