Just days after announcing Dream.17 would take place May 29th inside the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, the promotions announced the pairings for the Bantamweight Grand Prix that will be featured in the show.
Dream officials held a draw on Wednesday to determine the tournament’s opening round matchups.
Dream’s highly anticipated return is also expected to showcase several non-tournament bouts, which could feature Shinya Aoki, Joachim Hansen, Mitsuhiro Ishida, Katsunori Kikuno, Akiyo “Wicky” Nishiura and Caol Uno.
If Dream.17 airs in North America, HDNet would likely play host. Nothing has been announced at this time.
The show marks Dream’s first promotion since their New Year’s Eve extravaganza. Dream, along with many other Japanese promotions, have reportedly been operating at losses for years.
