Bellator 42 took place Saturday night inside the Lucky Star Casino in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Richard Hale took a controversial split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) win over D.J. Linderman in the card’s featured attraction. Hale now advances to the finals of Bellator’s Light Heavyweight Tournament.
Speaking of their 205-pound tourney, Christian M’Pumbu secured his spot in the finals when he defeated Tim Carpenter earlier in the evening.
“Bellator 42 was a great night of fights with spectacular performances by M’Pumbu and Hale to advance to our first-ever Bellator Light Heavyweight Finals,” said Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney. “The season continues to produce amazing MMA for fans and the MTV2 audience.”
