After much hoopla, “UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields” fight week is finally upon us. While most fans are anxious to witness some action-packed scraps this Saturday, others are excited to see how their investments will pan out.
Georges St-Pierre is a heavy 4.5-to-1 odds-on favorite to retain his welterweight crown against Jake Shields in the night’s main event, while freshly coined UFC featherweight king Jose Aldo is a whopping -500 favorite to dispose of Mark Hominick in the card’s co-featured contest.
Speaking of long shots, Randy Couture is a 2.5-to-1 underdog against Lyoto Machida. Couture has stated Saturday will mark his final mixed martial arts contest.
UFC 129 will be held inside the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada. The live pay-per-view broadcast airs at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
