Rafael Dos Anjos Replaces Evan Dunham at “UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber 2″

Just hours after it was reported Evan Dunham would be forced out of his pivotal lightweight contest against George Sotiropoulos, the UFC announced Rafael Dos Anjos will step in to face Sotiropoulos at “UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber 2″ on July 2nd.

Sotiropoulos looks to right the ship after suffering his first loss inside the Octagon. The Australian’s seven-fight winning streak was abruptly snapped by Dennis Siver at UFC 127.

Speaking of one-fight skids, Dos Anjos is attempting to rebound from his UFC 117 submission loss to Clay Guida. The Brazilian jiu jitsu wizard hasn’t competed since the August 2010 defeat.

UFC 132 takes place inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. A bantamweight title scrap between champ Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber will headline the event.

The pay-per-view broadcast airs live at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
