For UFC featherweight Mark Hominick, a lot can and cannot happen within six days time. After growing a second forehead in his unanimous decision loss to champion Jose Aldo this past Saturday, the hematoma the Brazilian etched on his dome has since deflated significantly.
While some fighters can’t wait to post pictures of their war wounds, Hominick needed his 12,500+ followers on Twitter to persuade him to show the damage.
“Everyone has been bugging me, so [here] you go! I am fine, look worse than I feel. Doc says I am 100%,” Hominick tweeted late Thursday night.
Although the bulge on his forehead has subsided, the baby bump his wife has been sporting for the last nine months still won’t go away. The couple have been expecting the birth of their daughter for the last week, but it appears their first child wants to make sure daddy’s face is presentable for their first family portrait.
On Monday “The Machine” was issued a 60-day medical suspension by the Ontario Athletic Commission, so family time will be aplenty.
