UFC Nam Phan TUF 12

The planet’s biggest MMA promotion has announced Nam Phan will make his long awaited return to the Octagon against former WEC featherweight champ Mike Brown at UFC 133 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Phan was scheduled to rematch Leonard Garcia at “UFC Fight Night 24″ in March, but an injury forced him out of the featherweight affair. Garcia took a highly controversial split decision victory over the Vietnamese-American at “The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale” in December.

Brown has dropped four of his last six bouts, including two straight losses. Rani Yahya posted a unanimous decision victory over Brown at “UFC Fight for the Troops 2” this past January.

No venue has been selected to host the August 6th show. A featherweight title scrap between champ Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes is expected to headline the event.

The pay-pew-view broadcast airs live at 9PM ET/6PM PT.

Here are the athletes rumored to perform in Philly:

Rafael Natal vs. Riki Fukuda
Mike Pierce vs. Johny Hendricks
Brian Ebersole vs. Dennis Hallman
Michael McDonald vs. Nick Pace
Jorge Rivera vs. Alessio Sakara
Rich Franklin vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
Vitor Belfort vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama
Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis
Chad Mendes vs. Jose Aldo (WEC Featherweight Champion)
