It appears the altercation between Tito Ortiz and Matt Mitrione wasn’t the only incident that went down during this week’s UFC Fighter Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada. The LVRJ reported Thursday former friends-turned-foes Jon Jones and Rashad Evans also exchanged pleasantries at Surrender nightclub at Encore.
Friday morning, Evans confirmed the non-physical confrontation via his Twitter account. However, “Suga” certainly didn’t stop there.
Last month, Evans accused Jones of being “fake” and suggested the reigning UFC light heavyweight king would inevitably get exposed like pop group Milli Vanilli. Today, Evans claims “Bones” is faking the thumb injury that forced Jones to pull out of their impending title fight.
Here’s what Evans tweeted just moments ago:
@jonnybones & i incident consisted of him telling me how he was so much better than & that he was gonna destroy me.. It was ended by 1
Question: if u r or were so confident then y fake a thumb injury? Cuz just between me & y’all he don’t need surgery!
but I ain’t one 2 gossip so u didnt hear it from me”! (ala Living Color) 4 u young folk! Lol
If I’m lying, I’m dying! Ask @jonnybones when is his surgery & who was his dr! He so fake he fake surgeries!! Now that’s fake!
Shortly after Jones was forced to exit stage left, it was announced undefeated Phil Davis would face Evans at UFC 133 on August 6th.
