Twelve bouts have been confirmed for the Octagon’s long awaited return to the City of Brotherly Love. Ironically, there won’t be much affection shown between the combatants at “UFC 133: Evans vs. Davis” on August 6th.
The pay-per-view broadcast will be headlined by a light heavyweight scrap between former champ Rashad Evans and fast-rising star Phil Davis. Vitor Belfort and Yoshihiro Akiyama are expected to co-headline the event, although Rich Franklin vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira could possibly take second-to-last billing.
The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania will host the extravaganza.
Here are the athletes expected to perform in Philly (Bout order subject to change):
Rafael Natal vs. Riki Fukuda
Nick Pace vs. Ivan Menjivar
Jorge Rivera vs. Alessio Sakara
Mike Brown vs. Nam Phan
Rani Yahya vs. Chad Mendes
Mike Pierce vs. Johny Hendricks
Brian Ebersole vs. Dennis Hallman
Mike Pyle vs. Rory MacDonald
Alexander Gustafsson vs. Vladimir Matyushenko
