A shoulder injury has forced Anthony Johnson out of his “UFC on Versus 4” scrap against Nate Marquardt. The Octagon show must go on, as fast-rising welterweight Rick Story has agreed to play substitute and headline opposite “Nate the Great.”

“I am facing Nate Marquardt next! @UFC Live on the 26th Hell Yeah lets do it!” Story tweeted.

After taking a unanimous decision victory over Thiago Alves last weekend at UFC 130, Story proceeded to call out perennial contender Jon Fitch. Unfortunately for “Horror,” Fitch is injured and not interested.

After spending the last several years performing in the middleweight division, Marqaurdt opted to drop a weight class for the first time in his Octagon career. He’s alternated between wins and losses over his last four 185-pound affairs.

According to reports, Johnson has a rotator cuff contusion that’s only permitting him 20-30% mobility in his shoulder. He will be on the shelf for the next 2-3 weeks.

“UFC on Versus 4” takes place inside the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Versus will broadcast the main bouts live at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
