“The Ultimate Fighter 13” reality show was several long weeks in the making, but it took Tony Ferguson all of 3 minutes and 54 seconds to dispose of bitter rival Ramsey Nijem on Saturday night to capture the tournament.

Both finalists came out firing, with Nijem appearing more polished with his standup. Unfortunately for him, Ferguson tried to make it an outright brawl and succeeded.

“Holy crap, man,” Ferguson said, “I don’t remember even throwing that,” Ferguson said of the left that dropped Nijem.

Ferguson followed up with a couple shots on the ground, but the referee was already stepping in to call off the beating.

Now that Ferguson has solidified his future with the world’s premier mixed martial arts promotion, he claims it’s time for him to turnaround the unfavorable image he presented of himself on the show.

“I learned a lot about myself in [the house during the season],” Ferguson said. “I kept a lot of stuff bottled up and I brought a lot of demons in there. From now on, I want to do the right thing so that kids can look up to me as a role model.”

At the post-fight press conference, Ferguson respectfully said he wouldn’t mind fighting another former TUF winner Amir Sadollah next.
