It has been reported that the EliteXC Welterweight Title match between Jake Shields and Drew Fickett has been postponed once again. They were originally suppose to square off on March 29th as part of the Frank Shamrock vs. Cung Le under card, but a back injury forced Shields to pull out. This time it was a knee injury to Fickett that has put the June 14th bout on hold once again.

ProElite.com still isn’t sure whether or not Shields will have a replacement opponent or not, but EliteXC still has a little over 5 weeks to find a suitable opponent.

As one the main bouts has been put on hold, EliteXC has announced multiple fights that have been added to the card, as well as the already scheduled EliteXC Lightweight Title match between K.J. Noons and Yves Edwards.

Here’s the excerpt from ProElite.com:

“Return of the King” is headlined by KJ Noons vs Yves Edwards for the EliteXC Lightweight Title; Nick Diaz vs Mushin Corbbery had been announced prior. The latest matches announced to the card include the return of Murilo “Ninja” Rua vs Tony Bonello, Dave “Peewee” Herman vs Ron Waterman, and Rafael Feijao vs Wayne Cole.
