For those of you that missed Sunday night’s thrilling “UFC on Versus 4” event, it certainly sucks to be you today. Being the odd man out at the office water cooler has got to be awkward.
Cheick Kongo and Pat Barry weren’t originally slated to headline the freebie fight card, but the heavyweights seized the opportunity and put on a show MMA fans will be referencing for years to come.
After getting slapped silly in the bout’s opening minutes, which included a couple of knockdowns and several bombs to the noggin, Kongo threw a right upper-cut out of nowhere that instantly dropped Barry.
Just when fans thought they had already been treated to enough viciousness, Kongo pounced and made Barry’s eyes roll to the back of his head.
“UFC on Versus 4” took place inside the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
