The Nevada State Athletic Commission has just announced the salaries for all of the participants in yesterday’s WEC 42 event inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. It was a win/win fight for Brian Bowles as he pocketed a total of $28,000 en route to capturing the bantamweight crown.
The total disclosed payroll for the show was $235,500. Here is the breakdown of every contestant’s payday:

Dominick Cruz: $14,000 (includes $7,000 win bonus) def. Joseph Benavidez: $12,500*

^ – Roller was slated to make $10,000 to show, while Hicks was scheduled to make $8,000. After Hicks was unable to make the 156 pound maximum at Saturday’s weigh-ins, the two parties agreed to a catchweight bout of 159 pounds, however Hicks was forced to fork over 15% of his cheddar.
