While the National Basketball Association and NBPA continue to battle over finances, Los Angeles Laker center Andrew Bynum is making good use of his free time courtesy of the NBA lockout.
Knowing that Freddie Roach’s famed gym is just down the I-101, Bynum took his talents to Wild Card Boxing Club in hopes of working up a sweat.
Although Roach made his name by working with superstar boxers, the legendary trainer has also schooled countless mixed martial artists at his facility. UFC champs Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, Jose Aldo have all sparred with Roach in the past.
In fact, Roach has become a prominent member in GSP’s exclusive inner circle.
Here’s what Bynum has been tweeting about his time with Roach:
“This is the great Freddie Roach and I, working on my new career!”
“i hope yall had a great 4th! I just got done with 2 hours of ring work! I’m tried as hell!!”
“I got a two a day tomorrow first road work in the morning, then back in the ring in the afternoon! I’m going hard yall!”
Perhaps Drew is preparing for his rematch with JJ Barea…
