The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission has announced that a total of six UFC 101 fighters will be forced to sit the sidelines after sustaining various injuries in their matches. Main event fighter Kenny Florian will be forced out a minimum of 45 days following his disappointing loss to lightweight champ BJ Penn.

Florian must have a CT scan on his facial bones, regardless of whether Florian is cleared by a doctor or not, he’s still suspended for 45 day for precautionary reasons.

Former UFC light heavyweight champ Forrest Griffin sprinted out of the arena following his embarrassing loss to Anderson Silva, skipping the post-fight doctor’s check-up.

It was being reported yesterday that Griffin suffered a broken jaw, however it appears that those reports were inaccurate as the PSAC made no mention of it, only forcing Griffin out for 30 days for precautionary reasons.

Speaking of “The Ultimate Fighter” winners, Amir Sadollah will be joining his Xtreme Couture teammate on the shelf as he too will be out for the next month due to precautionary purposes.

Tamdan McCrory needs a full eye exam and doctor’s clearance before returning to the Octagon. His suspension varies in length due to the complexities of his injuries.

Dan Cramer and Jesse Lennox will also be shelved following their losses this past weekend inside the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA.
