With a simple cut and paste job, the Octagon’s graphics department has updated the event poster for UFC 133. Unfortunately for UFC president Dana White, swapping out main event fighters is a tad more complicated than a couple clicks of the mouse.
After watching Phil Davis reluctantly bow out with a knee injury, Lyoto Machida initially agreed to play substitute but later demanded “Anderson Silva money” to take the August 6th scrap.
Luckily for White, Tito Ortiz pulled a switheroo of his own. After originally stating he wasn’t interested, “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” decided 24 days was ample time to prepare for Evans. Furthermore, Ortiz was just 11 days removed from his most impressive performance in years.
The former light heavyweight champions will headline the pay-per-view broadcast.
“UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz” takes place inside the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
