With all due respect to Burt Watson, the world’s premier MMA organization has just hired a new hype man to promote this Saturday’s “UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz” pay-per-view broadcast. Chael Sonnen will kick off this weekend’s festivities by hosting a Fan Q&A this Friday prior to UFC 133’s official weigh-ins.

Although Sonnen battles Brian Stann in a critical middleweight showdown at UFC 136, it’s highly probable Stann won’t even be a topic of conversation during the hour-long session. Which means, every Brazilian mixed martial artist within earshot better hold on to their hats.

Sonnen has been preoccupied with plenty of non-Octagon controversy over the last year, so the return of his comedy tour has been a long time coming for some. The sport’s most articulate trash talker teased fans late Sunday night about his highly anticipated comeback.

“If half as many people show up to the fight on Saturday as come to my Q&A on Friday it should be a great UFC weekend. See you all there!” Sonnen tweeted.

The Q&A and weigh-ins will take place inside the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Doors open at 12PM ET, and Sonnen hits the stage at 2PM local time. Unfortunately, the session is only open to UFC Fight Club members, the Octagon’s official fan club.

No word if a live stream of Sonnen’s Q&A will be made available. We shall keep you posted.

However, the weigh-ins, which begin at 4PM ET/1PM PT, are free and open to the general public.
