Showtime has just announced that “Strikeforce: All Access” coverage for this Saturday’s “Carano vs. Cyborg” event will be offered to users from Brazil, Japan and countries in Europe for the first time ever. MMA fanatics will be able to stream their historic event LIVE, as well as gain access to exclusive content.
“Aug. 15 is going to be a historic night for MMA,” Showtime Senior Vice President and General Manager Ken Hershman stated. “With three Strikeforce championships on the line and a marquee event featuring the top two female fighters on the planet, fans will want an immersive viewing experience. For U.S. subscribers, couple the ‘All Access’ online offering with the live program on Showtime, and fans will have a whole new way to enjoy the fights.
“Strikeforce: All Access,” will be made available simultaneously with Showtime’s live broadcast of the event, which begins at 10:30PM ET/7:30PT. The exclusive coverage allows fans to be their own directors and toggle among five live cameras with full pause and rewind capabilities.
Showtime’s asking price is $24.95, and it also allows the users access to the “CageCam,” a small, high-quality camera worn by the referee that takes viewers inside the cage during the fights.
The show takes place inside the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California and will host the first-ever women’s championship fight as GinaCarano takes on Cris “Cyborg” Santos in the most highly anticipated female fight in history.
Pre-ordering for All Access begins Wednesday through Strikeforce.
