It has been announced UFC heavyweight Joey “The Mexicutioner” Beltran will welcome undefeated Stipe Miocic into the major leagues. The 265-pounds will meet on October 8th at “UFC 136: Edgar vs. Maynard III.”
The Mexicutioner holds a 13-5 professional record and was last seen putting Aaron Rosa down at UFC 131. The must-win victory snapped his two-fight losing skid.
Miocic comes to the UFC with a perfect 6-0 resume. The up-and-coming wrestler submitted Bobby Brents last month at “NAAFS: Fight Night in the Flats 7.”
The Toyota Center in Houston will host the Octagon’s much anticipated return to Texas. A lightweight title match between champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard will serve as the pay-per-view’s featured attraction.
The contest marks the third time the 155-pounders have met, with their rematch at UFC 125 resulting in a highly controversial draw.
