To help speed up a relatively slow MMA news day, the planet’s largest mixed martial arts promotion announced a pair of fights for their “UFC 135: Jones vs. Rampage” event on September 24th.
Manny Gamburyan vs. Diego Nunes, as well as Cole Escovedo vs. Takeya Mizugaki was added to the event’s star-studded roster. It’s highly unlikely either of the scraps will make it on the main card, as each of the athletes are coming off losses – some might be fighting for their big league lives.
The Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado will host the show. A light heavyweight title tilt between champion Jon Jones and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will headline the pay-per-view broadcast.
Here is the card’s updated roster:
Ben Rothwell vs. Mark Hunt
James Te Huna vs. Ricardo Romero
Cole Escovedo vs. Takeya Mizugaki
Manny Gamburyan vs. Diego Nunes
Nick Ring vs. Tim Boetsch
Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto vs. Damacio Page
Nate Diaz vs. Takanori Gomi
Tony Ferguson vs. Aaron Riley
Travis Browne vs. Rob Broughton
Diego Sanchez vs. Matt Hughes
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Jon Jones (UFC Light Heavyweight Champion)
