Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Jake Shields

“UFC Fight Night 25: Battle on the Bayou” takes place September 17th inside the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The Octagon’s debut in Louisiana features a pivotal welterweight matchup between Jake Shields and Jake Ellenberger.

UFC Fight Club members will have the opportunity to purchase seats for the show on Thursday, July 28th at 11AM ET/8AM PT via UFCFightClub.com.

A special Internet ticket pre-sale will be available to UFC Newsletter subscribers on Friday, July 29th at 11AM ET/8AM PT.

The general public will have access to the remains on Saturday, July 29th at 11AM ET/8AM PT.

Shields is looking to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to welterweight king Georges St-Pierre at UFC 129. The April loss snapped the grappler’s impressive 15-fight winning streak, a run that started back in November of 2005.

Ellenberger has made no bones about his dislike for Shields, and after countless call-outs he’s finally been granted his wish. The 26-year-old owns an underrated 25-5 record and has rattled off eight wins in his last nine outings. He was previously seen breaking his left hand on Sean Pierson’s face en route to earning a knockout victory on the same UFC 129 show.

Spike TV will broadcast the card’s main bouts live starting at 9PM ET/6PM PT.

Here are the athletes expected to appear in the show:

Ken Stone vs. Donny Walker

Mackens Semerzier vs. Mike Lullo

Vagner Rocha vs. Cody McKenzie

Evan Dunham vs. Shamar Bailey

DaMarques Johnson vs. Clay Harvison

Alan Belcher vs. Jason MacDonald

Jonathan Brookins vs. Erik Koch

Court McGee vs. Dongi Yang

Jake Shields vs. Jake Ellenberger
