Strikeforce M1 Global Heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko

Although a live stream of Friday’s “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson” weigh-ins weren’t made available for fight fans, it doesn’t mean they didn’t take place today inside the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Thankfully, MMAWeekly captured the festivities for all to see.

Saturday’s Showtime broadcast will feature a heavyweight mega-fight between Fedor Emelianenko and reigning Strikeforce light heavyweight champ Dan Henderson. After dropping two straight contests, Emelianenko reemerged in Illinois this week looking leaner than he has in years.

Fedor tipped the scales today at 223 pounds. The sport’s greatest heavyweight weighed in at 230, 232, 229 and 230, respectively, in his last four fights.

Henderson checked in at 207 pounds this afternoon.

For those of you that were wondering, Miesha Tate wore a black bikini when she weighed in. Opponent and women’s welterweight champ Marloes Coenen took a more conservative route.

Showtime will broadcast tomorrow’s main bouts at 10PM ET/PT.
