And then there were 12, as in twelve bouts that will make up Saturday’s “UFC 134: Silva vs. Okami” roster. With only four days remaining until the curtain is drawn on the Octagon’s highly-anticipated return to Brazil, the hotly-rumored welterweight battle between Erick Silva and Luis Ramos was finally confirmed for the show.
The 170-pounders will appear in one of the five scraps streaming live on the UFC’s Facebook page.
Ramos holds a 19-6 professional record and will be making his big league debut with a three-fight winning streak. Eleven of his victories have come via decision.
Speaking of Octagon rookies, Silva owns a 12-1 (1 NC) resume and hasn’t lost a contest since December of 2006. The up-and-coming 27-year-old trains with Team Nogueira.
UFC 134 will be jumping off this Saturday inside the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A middleweight title affair between champion Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami will headline the pay-per-view broadcast.
