After a slew of freebie bouts on Facebook and SpikeTV, six “UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz” fights are officially in the books. All but one contest went to the judges’ scorecards, as light heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson (Pictured) stopped veteran Matt Hamill in the card’s final preliminary bout.
Gustafsson put a halt to the lack of finishes with an impressive display of striking and takedown defense. Hamill was never able to get anything going offensively, which allowed the Swede to land a straight left and a pair of uppercuts to drop the former ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ contestant.
Once the scrap hit the mat, Gustafsson secured full-mount and dropped a flurry of elbows and punches until the referee stepped in to prevent “The Hammer” from taking any unnecessary damage.
