The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission has suspended seven UFC 133 contestants, including featured fighter Tito Ortiz, for various injuries sustained during this past Saturday’s scraps.
“The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” suffered a 2ndRound TKO loss to fellow former light heavyweight champ Rashad Evans in the card’s featured attraction. After taking the contest on two-weeks notice, Ortiz will now be forced to sit the sidelines for 45 days due to precautionary purposes.
Yoshihiro Akiyama is banned 60 days and must undergo a neurological exam before he competes again. However, Sexyama has now lost three straight bouts so his return might be coming outside of the Octagon.
Rafael Natal was issued an indefinite suspension after posting a unanimous decision win over Paul Bradley inside Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The Brazilian must have his right hand cleared by physicians before he can return to action.
