Charles Oliveira might only be 21-years-old, but the Brazilian has never been one to lack confidence. Former WEC lightweight top contender Donald Cerrone has certainly taken notice and is fully prepared to serve the youngster a handsome portion of humble pie tonight at “UFC on Versus 5.”
“I saw him looking at me the other day, smirking. That to me is cocky,” Cerrone stated. “It’s on. I can’t wait to peer across that ring and see his little cocky ass standing there. I’m excited to get in there and do my thing.”
Cerrone has 19 professional fights under his belt, including three championship affairs, so he believes he knows what he’s talking about. At the same time, game recognizes game so Cerrone will be prepared when the cage door slams shut tonight in Milwaukee.
“I so have respect for his skills,” Cerrone said. “I’m not overlooking him by any means, but am I going to beat him? Yes. I’m 100 percent confident and I’m going in there to win.
“There’s blood in my eyes and I can’t wait to fight.”
Oliveira is a slight -150 favorite to snap the “Cowboy’s” four-fight winning streak tonight inside the Bradley Center in Wisconsin.
