Despite posting a 0-2 (1 NC) record over his last three Octagon forays, lightweight Charles Oliveira has been offered a four-fight contract extension with the UFC.
MMAJunkie reports the Brazilian is expected to put pen to paper within the coming week.
Oliveira suffered his first professional blemish in a 1stRound submission loss to Jim Miller at UFC 124 in December. The 21-year-old followed it up with a ‘no contest’ when he landed an illegal knee to Nik Lentz’s face at “UFC on Versus 4” in June.
He was most recently seen on the wrong end of a highlight reel TKO loss to Donald Cerrone at “UFC on Versus 5” earlier this month.
Prior to his current skid, “do Bronx” was perfect through his first 14 professional bouts.
