UFC Welterweight Gerald Harris

On Wednesday, a middleweight scrap between Gerald Harris and Kazuhiro Nakamura was added to the “Dream.17” roster. The event takes place September 24th inside the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Harris has posted a 1-1 record since his unexpected firing from the UFC following a disappointing unanimous decision loss to Maiquel Falcao in November 2010. He was last seen in May taking a decision victory over Anthony Ruiz at “Tachi Palace Fights 9.”

Nakamura will be riding a two-fight winning streak into their 185-pound affair. The veteran had lost two straight scraps prior to his current run.

The card will feature the opening round of Dream’s World Bantamweight Tournament. Submission specialist Shinya Aoki will also meet Rob McCullough in the event, however Aoki’s Dream lightweight title will not be up for grabs.

No word if HDNet will make the card available for viewing in North America.

Here is the card’s updated roster:

Gerald Harris vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura

Satoru Kitaoka vs. Willamy Freire

Caol Uno vs. Takeshi Inoue

Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Joachim Hansen

Rob McCullough vs. Shinya Aoki (Dream Lightweight Champion)*

World Bantamweight Grand Prix (1stRound):
