UFC 102 Roster Finally Set

UFC 102 has undergone a drastic makeover since the original line-up was announced about a month ago. Fortunately for mixed martial arts fans, none of the substitutions affected any of the night’s main bouts, including headliners Randy Couture and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

The organization has just released the finalized roster for their debut show inside the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon on August 29th. The pay-per-view broadcast will feature a total of 11 scraps, however none with direct title implications.

The lineup isn’t the only thing that has changed on this card as it was initially announced by company front-man Dana White that the middleweight tussle between Nate Marquardt and Damian Maia was a “top contender” fight.

However, after Dan Henderson’s violent knockout of Michael Bisping at UFC 100, he catapulted himself above his fellow 185-pound counterparts for another crack at champion Anderson Silva’s title.

Here is the complete roster that will be performing in the City of Roses:

Preliminary Bouts:

Marcus Aurelio vs. Evan Dunham
Nick Catone vs. Mark Munoz
Tim Hague Vs. Todd Duffee
Justin McCully vs. Mike Russow
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Chris Tuchscherer
Ed Herman vs. Aaron Simpson

Main Bouts:

Chris Leben vs. Jake Roshol
Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Brandon Vera
Nate Marquardt vs. Damian Maia
Thiago Silva vs. Keith Jardine
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Randy Couture
