If you happened to miss UFC.com’s leak of “Countdown to UFC 134” this past Tuesday, two days before it was scheduled to premiere on Spike TV, the network will broadcast the show tonight at 11PM ET/PT.
After pushing the documentary on their Facebook and Twitter feeds on Tuesday, the UFC subsequently deleted their posts and removed the video from their official website after featuring it on their homepage for most of the day – making it appear as though it was released by accident.
Interesting enough, Thursday’s UFC 134 press conference in Brazil was slated to stream live at 1PM ET/10AM PT, but was delayed just long enough to run the ENTIRE episode to entertain fans that were waiting for the fighters to hit the podium.
After six successful years with Spike, the UFC inked a watershed television broadcast deal with FOX exactly one week ago. It appears their split from their longtime freebie TV partners was far from amicable.
UFC 134 takes place this Saturday inside the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Middleweight king Anderson Silva defends his throne against Yushin Okami (Pictured) in the card’s featured attraction. The hour-long special follows the 185-pounders around as they prepare for this weekend’s scrap.
“Countdown to UFC 134” will also showcase the card’s co-main event between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Forrest Griffin, as well as heavyweights Brendan Schaub and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
