UFC Lightweight Donald Cerrone

On Monday afternoon, Octagon officials confirmed lightweight Donald Cerrone will replace Sam Stout at UFC 137 to face Dennis Siver.

Stout isn’t believed to be injured. However, it’s likely he is still grieving over this month’s unexpected death of his brother-in-law and longtime trainer, Shawn Tompkins.

Cerrone owns a 16-3 professional record and will be riding a five-fight winning streak into the October 29th event. The “Cowboy” was just seen two weeks ago posting a TKO victory over Charles Oliveira at “UFC on Versus 5.”

Siver is perfect through his last four scraps, with his most recent coming in a unanimous decision win over Matt Wiman at UFC 132. The German holds a 19-7 pro mark.

It is believed the 155-pound affair will appear in the pay-per-view portion of the festivities.

UFC 137 takes place inside the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. A welterweight title tilt between champion Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz will headline the show.

Here is the card’s updated roster:

Preliminary Bouts:

Bart Palaszewski vs. Tyson Griffin

Dannny Downes vs. Ramsey Nijem

Hatsu Hioki vs. George Roop

Tim Credeur vs. Brad Tavares

Jeff Curran vs. Scott Jorgensen

Eliot Marshall vs. Brandon Vera

Main Bouts:

(Pay-Per-View 9PM ET/6PM PT)

Dennis Siver vs. Donald Cerrone

Roy Nelson vs. Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic

Matt Mitrione vs. Cheick Kongo

Carlos Condit vs. BJ Penn
