What could possibly be better than watching a freebie MMA fight card? How about seeing it for $FREE.99 in crystal clear high-definition? On Tuesday, Bellator Fighting Championships announced EPIX will simulcast MTV2’s coverage of Bellator Season 5 in HD, starting with their September 10th show in New Jersey.

“This is the perfect time and the perfect channel to introduce Bellator in high-definition,” said Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney. “EPIX has fantastic programming, tremendous reach and I always find a great movie on their channel. I look forward to continuing our relationship with MTV2 and our new partnership with EPIX to bring the magic of HD to Bellator fans nationwide.”

MTV2 will televise the upcoming 12-week season, which will showcase single elimination welterweight, middleweight, bantamweight and heavyweight tournaments.

Bellator’s 5th Season premieres with Bellator 49 at 9PM ET/PT from Caesar’s in Atlantic City. The show features four quarterfinal welterweight tourney bouts.
