UFC President Dana White has called Strikeforce on NBC a “Mixed Martial Arts infomercial.” If that’s the case, it’s one heck of an infomercial according to the people over at Strikeforce. “We’re pleased to see our product gaining momentum on network TV,” said Strikeforce CEO, Scott Coker.
The key to Strikeforce on NBC’s success would be their .5 rating that they have been able to draw with the key 18-34 year old male demographic, which has allowed the 30-minute program to beat the likes of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Although the ratings are modest compared to the UFC’s “Ultimate Fighter” reality series, it’s a great sign for Strikeforce as they continue to gain momentum among casual MMA fans.
