UFC Welterweight Diego Sanchez

The Injury Bug strikes again. On Monday afternoon, UFC president Dana White announced Diego Sanchez (Pictured) has broken his hand and will be forced to withdraw from his UFC 135 contest against Matt Hughes.

According to White, they are currently scouring the globe for a suitable last-minute replacement to stand opposite the former welterweight champion in the September 24th event.

The 170-pound affair was scheduled to co-headline the show.

Hughes owns an extensive 45-8 resume, with 35 of his victories coming via finish. The 37-year-old was quickly put down by BJ Penn at UFC 123 this past November.

Former top contenders Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck remain dateless. #JustSayin
