The UFC announced that Georges St-Pierre will be making his first title defense against #1 contender Jon Fitch at UFC 87: Seek and Destroy. St-Pierre is coming off of a dominating victory over Matt Serra at UFC 83. Unfortunately, the other featured bout between UFC Hall-of-Famer Mark Coleman and Brock Lesnar has been cancelled due to a knee injury that Coleman suffered during training.

Lesnar is still scheduled to be on the card since it will be the first time that the UFC has ever held an event in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. UFC.com did say that Lesnar’s new opponent will be announced shortly.

Also on the card is a #1 contender match between Roger Huerta and Kenny Florian as they both will await the winner of this Saturday’s Lightweight title match between Sean Sherk and champion BJ Penn.

Tickets for UFC 87: Seek and Destroy will go on sale this Sunday, May 25th.
