Strikeforce Light Heavyeight Muhammed King Mo Lawal

Former Strikeforce light heavyweight champ Muhammed Lawal (Pictured) was last spotted losing his title to Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante in August of 2010. On Saturday night, “King Mo” returned in resounding fashion by easily disposing of Roger Gracie inside the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.

“I respect Gracie’s power,” Lawal stated after his knockout victory. “He’s so tall and long, I couldn’t gauge the length of his reach. I just tried to see where I could land my super right hand. I knew if I could land that right hand he was going out.

“I didn’t know if it was coming in the 1stRound, but I knew it was coming.”

Lawal bumped his record to a practically perfect 8-1 mark following the win. Although wrapping the light heavyweight belt around his waist again is the ultimate goal, the former All-American wrestler also has revenge on his mind.

“I wouldn’t mind fighting Feijao again,” he emphatically stated. “I really want Feijao again. That’s what’s up.”
