In an attempt to spice up a relatively show MMA news day, a lightweight scrap between Mark Bocek (Pictured) and Nik Lentz was officially announced for UFC 140. The Air Canada Centre in Toronto will host the Octagon’s return up north.
Bocek owns a 9-4 professional record and has lost two out of his last three bouts. The submission specialist most recently dropped a unanimous decision defeat to Ben Henderson at UFC 129 in April.
Lentz holds a complicated 21-3-2 (1 NC) record and was last seen collecting no contest against Charles Oliveira in June after eating an unintentional illegal knee to the face. He hasn’t lost a scrap since March 2007, but his tally during that span includes 12 wins, two draws and one no contest.
A heavyweight rematch between former champions Frank Mir and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will likely headline the December 10th event.
Here is the card’s updated lineup:
Rich Attonito vs. Claude Patrick
John Cholish vs. Mitch Clarke
Dennis Hallman and John Makdessi
Nik Lentz vs Mark Bocek
Brian Ebersole vs. Rory MacDonald
Tito Ortiz vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
