Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Jake Shields

Slowly but surely, the investment options for Saturday’s “UFC Fight Night 25: Battle on the Bayou” event are trickling in. With only two days remaining until showtime, the Gambling Gods have just released the betting odds for the show’s main card.

The Octagon’s long-awaited return to Louisiana will feature a welterweight affair between Jake Shields (Pictured) and Jake Ellenberger. The former Strikeforce middleweight champ is nearly a 2-to-1 favorite to snap Ellenberger’s four-fight winning streak.

Ellenberger checks in as a slight +145 underdog.

The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans will host the shindig. Spike TV’s broadcast of the event’s main bouts begins at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
