The Colorado Office of Boxing has medically suspended 12 “UFC 135: Jones vs. Rampage” athletes for various injuries sustained in their respective scraps this past Saturday. Details regarding each fighter’s wounds were not made available.
Reigning light heavyweight champ Jon Jones (Pictured) could be riding the pine for up to six months unless he receives medical clearance from a physician. Jones was seen icing his elbow and feet following his 4thRound submission victory over Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the card’s featured attraction.
However, Jones appeared at the post-fight press conference and seemed healthy. There was a rumor the 24-year-old had broken his foot, but “Bones” claimed his feet were just sore.
Rampage was issued a 60-day ban and isn’t allowed contact for 45 days.
The Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado hosted this weekend’s show.
