Bantamweight Jeff Hougland has suffered an undisclosed injury that will force him out of Saturday’s “UFC on Versus 6” event. As we all know fully well, the Octagon show waits for no man. Byron Bloodworth has agreed to serve as a last-minute substitute to face Mike Easton inside the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
Bloodworth will be making his big league debut riding a three-fight winning streak. He holds a 6-1 record overall.
Easton, who is also a UFC rookie, owns a 10-1 resume.
Their 135-pound affair will not air on the Versus broadcast, which starts live at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
A bantamweight title scrap between champion Dominick Cruz and Demetrious Johnson will headline the freebie fight card.
