The UFC officially announced via its website today that Brock Lesnar’s second fight in the UFC will be against “Texas Crazy Horse” Heath Herring at UFC 87. Lesnar was originally scheduled to fight UFC Hall-of-Famer Mark “The Hammer” Coleman, but due to an injury Coleman suffered during training he was forced to pull out.
Herring has had an up-and-down stint in the UFC as he currently owns a 2-2 record in the Octagon. He is coming off of a victory over Cheick Kongo at UFC 82.
Lesnar is looking to bounce back from a submission loss to former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir at UFC 81. Lesnar has split his first two fights in MMA, but obviously wants to make a strong impression for the UFC’s first event in Minnesota, which happens to be his home state.
