UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones has never owned a brand new car … until today. Instead of driving around in a rickety Honda like Nick Diaz, “Bones” splurged and purchased a 2012 Bentley Continental GT.
His ride’s price tag is a mere $190,000.
“Got my first new car today in Vegas #stoked,” Jones tweeted. “One of the best days of my life.”
Jones may have complained about his achy feet after making his first successful title defense when he dominated Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 135, but the 24-year-old superstar certainly won’t have to worry about how he’ll be getting around town now.
With UFC gold wrapped securely around his waist, Jones is one of the few fighters fortunate enough to earn a percentage of the pay-per-view buys for the cards he competes in.
While Rampage helped sell their scrap with the whole ‘Spygate’ controversy, Jones’ next championship defense will come against Rashad Evans. With the amount of hoopla surrounding their heated rivalry, Jones’ bank account will surely skyrocket once again.
