Third time’s a charm, or three strikes and you’re out. Either way you want to look at it, Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres (Pictured) will get another shot inside the Octagon. On Wednesday evening, UFC president Dana White announced the former “The Ultimate Fighter 12” contestant will drop to the 135-pound division and face Cole Escovedo at “UFC on FOX.”
“Both bantamweights had non-stop action fights in their last outings and are sure to do the same November 12th,” White stated.
Caceres has been submitted via rear-naked choke in both of his big league fights. He was last seen tapping out to Jim Hettes at “UFC on Versus 5” in August.
Speaking of two-fight losing skids, Escovedo is also in desperate need of a win. The 30-year-old just suffered a TKO defeat to Takeya Mizugaki last month at UFC 135.
A heavyweight championship affair between title holder Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos will headline the UFC’s primetime debut.
The Honda Center in Anaheim, California will host the show.
