EliteXC's Fighters Tip the Scales

EliteXC’s fighters hit the scales on Friday, and unfortunately one of their main fighters hit the buffet line one too many times. All other fighters on the highly anticipated card made weight, but popular woman’s MMA fighter, Gina Carano, failed to make the required contractual weight of 140 pounds.Tomorrow’s historic event marks the first time ever that MMA has been nationally televised on a prime time network, a giant step as the sport continues to gain mainstream acceptance. This will be the first of four nationally televised EliteXC promotions on CBS. All preliminary bouts can be seen on cbssports.com for free, as well.
