Microsoft has just revealed ‘UFC on Xbox LIVE’ will begin appearing on Xbox 360 consoles starting December 1st. The first event fans will be allowed to order in either Standard Definition or 720p High Definition will be the recently announced “UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida” pay-per-view on December 10th.
UFC president Dana White originally broke the news regarding “UFC on Xbox LIVE’ this past June while appearing on stage at the E3 Video Game Expo.
“As you know, we deliver the best fights in the world and now Xbox will revolutionize how fans experience live events on television,” said White.
On top of being able to watch live events, fans will also have access to view press conferences, fighter workouts and the official weigh-ins. Users will not be able to save events to their hard drives, but are expected to have a 24-48 hour viewing window to replay purchased shows.
The price for UFC PPVs on ‘UFC on Xbox LIVE’ will be similar to what cable and satellite providers currently charge, with no discounts being given to Xbox LIVE gold members.
