Dream, the popular Japanese-based MMA organization, is hinting that Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto and Tatsuya Kawajiri might be added to their already star-studded October 6th extravaganza. The event currently features two title fights and the final rounds two of their grand prix tourneys.
Yamamoto recently returned from a 17-month sabbatical due to injuries only to suffer a split decision loss to Joe Warren in the quarterfinals of Dream’s Featherweight Grand Prix Tournament in May. Prior to posting that L, Yamamoto had reeled off 14 consecutive wins, 12 of which came via impressive stoppage.
Speaking of win streaks, Kawajiri has won six of his last seven, including three straight. He was last seen taking an easy unanimous decision over the talented Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante at Dream.9.
Although the organization openly hinted that both would participate in their historic show, they have failed to add either superstar, or their perspective opponents, to the official roster on their website.
DREAM.11 will be taking place inside the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan and features the semifinals and finals of DREAM’s Featherweight GP, their highly talked-about “Super Hulk” Tournament, as well as two title bouts.
