Dan Lauzon Pulled From UFC 103 With Back Injury

It looks like a back injury will postpone Dan Lauzon’s UFC return as he will be forced out of his tussle with Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 103.  Dan, the younger brother of popular UFC fighter Joe, was hoping to end his three-year Octagon  hiatus before the injury bug bit him.

“The Upgrade” last fought for the world’s biggest MMA organization at UFC 64 back in 2006 where he was TKO’ed by Spencer Fisher in the 1stRound of their matchup. From there, Lauzon proceeded to win 8 out of his next 9 fights, albeit against lesser competition.

It is not clear if the UFC will look to replace Lauzon or scrap from the card completely.

Lauzon and Oliveira were both carry-overs from the canceled “Affliction: Trilogy” show earlier this month.
