With the recent addition of the lightweight scrap between Danny Castillo and Shamar Bailey, the 12-bout lineup for “UFC 139: Shogun vs. Henderson” is complete. The November 19th event takes place inside the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
A critical light heavyweight matchup between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Dan Henderson will headline the pay-per-view broadcast. A middleweight shootout with Wanderlei Silva and Cung Le will serve as the night’s co-main event.
“The UFC light heavyweight division is arguably the deepest division in the sport and Dan Henderson and ‘Shogun’ are fighting to prove that they deserve to be next in line for a shot at the title,” UFC president Dana White said. “Both of these guys want to earn the right to be called the best 205-pound fighter in the sport.
“These guys both have incredible power and I expect a great fight.”
